Diana Roman
Executive officer
Diana Roman, Executive Director of the Florida Commission on the Status of Women, brings over 25 years of experience in Hispanic/Latinx outreach and social work. Previously, as Manager of Client Services at the Hispanic Outreach Center in Pinellas County, she launched the first dedicated program for the Hispanic community in Tarpon Springs. Through strategic partnerships with local organizations, faith-based groups, and a growing donor base, she helped the center become a recognized leader in community services.
Diana’s work has focused on creating access and resources for underserved populations. She helped organize numerous vaccination campaigns, resource fairs, and community events in partnership with healthcare providers, ensuring essential services reached those in need. She has also collaborated with community organizations to address complex social issues, including domestic violence, sexual crimes, and human trafficking.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Counseling focused on Crisis Response and Trauma, Diana combines professional expertise with a deep commitment to advocacy, making her a key leader in advancing women’s and community issues across Florida.
Kimberly Mehr
Operations Coordinator
Kimberly Mehr has been a dedicated team member of the Florida Commission on the Status of Women since 2008, rising to the role of Operations Coordinator in 2018, where she is instrumental in managing the Commission’s daily functions and ensuring the seamless execution of its mission to advance women’s issues across the state. With a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from Florida State University, Kimberly brings a unique technical acumen and organizational expertise to her work.
Beyond her professional contributions, she is a committed community leader, serving on the Board of Directors of the Tallahassee Fast Pitch Softball Association for many years. Known for her volunteerism, Kimberly actively contributes to various organizations and local schools, championing causes close to her heart and positively impacting her community through service and mentorship.
