Sciba

Executive Director

Since 2002, Kelly Sciba has served as the Executive Director of the Florida Commission on the Status of Women. She is responsible for the administration and the daily operations of the Commission.
Prior to joining the Commission, Kelly served as Legislative and Communications Specialist for the Florida Office of the State Courts Administrator for two years and spent four years as Membership and Communications Manager of the Florida Manufacturing and Chemical Council. Over her career, she has served in several capacities including operations, government relations, public relations, and program management.
She has served as a member of several boards, including the FCSW Foundation, Inc. and the Tallahassee Serina’s Synchronized Swim Team Board of Directors. Kelly was recognized by Tallahassee Community College in 2015 as a Women’s History Month Honoree. She participated in the Southern Women in Public Service Leadership Program for three years. Kelly has also been active in her community by volunteering with the Girl Scouts of the Big Bend, RedEye Velo Junior Cycling Team, as well as both Montford Middle School and Lincoln High School.
She received her Bachelor of Science in Communication and Psychology from the University of Miami, Coral Gables, and her Master of Arts in Mass Communication from the University of Florida. She also has a Professional Accreditation in Public Relations.
Kelly Sciba grew up in Key Largo, FL. She currently lives in Tallahassee, Florida, with her husband, Tim and their two children, Brian and Katie.

Operations Coordinator

Kimberly Mehr joined the Florida Commission on the Status of Women in 2008 and became Operations Coordinator in 2018. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from Florida State University. She has served on the Board of Directors of the Tallahassee Fast Pitch Softball Association for many years and actively volunteers for numerous organizations and local schools.
