Melanie Parrish Bonanno is the Senior Director of Employment Law for Publix Super Markets, Inc. She has worked as an attorney for Publix since 2003, and has served in her current role since 2016, leading a team of attorneys, managers and investigators who are responsible for all employment related legal work at Publix. In 2014, Melanie received the Most Powerful & Influential Woman award by the National Diversity Council at their 2014 Florida Diversity & Leadership Conference. Melanie also serves on the Publix PAC Board of Directors. Prior to joining Publix, Melanie began her legal career as an associate attorney at FordHarrison LLP in 1999. Melanie graduated from Florida Southern College in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities with concentrations in Religion and Philosophy, English and Literature, and Theater Arts. She graduated with honors from the University of Florida College of Law in 1999. She is a resident of Seffner, FL and has served on the Board of the Emergency Care Help Organization of Brandon since 2010. Melanie also serves on the Board of Angels for Change, a non-profit dedicate to helping children gain access to life saving medicine. Melanie has three children: Aldo (15), Amelia (12) and Robby (12).
