
Lina Rojas

Lina Rojas was appointed by Florida Senate President Ben Albritton in December 2025. Born in Colombia and raised in Miami, Florida, Lina earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Florida State University.
Lina currently serves as Government Relations Manager for Florida State University, where she represents the university on all matters related to the State of Florida and advocates for FSU’s legislative, budgetary, and policy priorities. Recognizing the need for experiential learning opportunities in government, Lina developed FSU’s Legislative Internship Program, now in its fourth year and serving 42 students in the current cohort.
Prior to joining Florida State University, Lina worked in the Florida Senate, first in the Senate Majority Office under then-Leader Kathleen Passidomo and later as a Policy Advisor in the Senate President’s Office under President Wilton Simpson, where she advised on education policy. Before her service in the Senate, Lina spent five years in the Governor’s Office in multiple roles, including as a budget and policy analyst overseeing the State University System of Florida.
In addition to her professional work, Lina is currently in Leadership Tallahassee Class 43 actively involved and in mentoring young women through her service as Advisory Board Chair and Executive Board Advisor for Florida State University’s Kappa Kappa Gamma chapter, supporting nearly 300 women. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with the ladies in her local book club, attending F45 classes, and training for her next race. Lina resides in Tallahassee with her Dachshund puppy, Petunia.
