Kimberly Stitt is a distinguished educator and leader with over 30 years of dedicated service in Florida’s Public School Systems, specifically serving the Hendry County School District. Throughout her three- decade career, Kimberly has established herself as a cornerstone of academic excellence and a passionate advocate for both student and teacher success.

Kimberly’s extensive pedagogical expertise is supported by a rigorous academic foundation. She is currently enrolled as a Doctoral Candidate at the American College of Education. She received her Bachelor of Science in Education at the University of Pittsburgh, Her Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction at Florida Gulf Coast University, and her Education Specialist (Ed.S.) in Educational Leadership at Florida State University.

Beyond the classroom, Kimberly is a prominent voice in educational policy and labor relations. She currently serves as the President of the Hendry County Education Association and is an active member of the Florida Education Association’s Governance Board, where she works to advance the interests of educators and students statewide, focusing on the needs of small, rural districts and diverse student populations. Kimberly volunteers extensively for Take Stock in Children and provides pro bono professional development for early-career teachers. Her mentorship also extends to the local business community, where she advises small business owners and independent contractors.

As an entrepreneur and consultant, she founded Emerson in Education, LLC, through which she developed a specialized Academy Model for secondary schools designed to foster institutional resiliency. She is a two-time Golden Apple Teacher of the Year; a rare distinction earned for her excellence in both elementary and high school settings. A resident of Florida for over thirty years, Kimberly has been married for 32 years and is the mother of two.
