Mrs. Darnitha Gaskin (Ocala)is a former Domestic Violence Victim, and she has turned a negative trying situation in a positive impact to our community, she has made it her mission to help battered women to become free from their offenders and start over and become free mentally and emotionally, she has also provided unselfishly to our homeless community through donations and providing them coffee and blankets during our winter and operation bag snacks for them as well, she has also provided children with school supplies and clothing for school and as well as beauty supplies to single mothers and their children. She is a motivational speaker and community activist against gun violence, her life is dedicated to helping her community and to strengthen families. She is also a Program Assistant at a Domestic Violence Shelter in our community! She has attended city council meeting to have Domestic Violence Awareness published in their newsletter for the community.
