Donna Wright

Originally from North Carolina, Donna Wright chose Florida as her home 26 years ago. She serves as Vice President of Development & Marketing at The Able Trust, cultivating engagement opportunities with Florida businesses, individual donors, and foundations in support of the organization’s mission to expand education and employment opportunities for people with disabilities. Wright began her career as a Special Education teacher, dedicating her work to students with disabilities. She holds bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Education, as well as a Master’s degree in Special Education. Wright has previously served as Chief Operating Officer for the Florida Chamber Foundation, External Affairs Manager for the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, and Public Relations Director for Goodwill Industries–Big Bend, Inc. Donna and her husband Baker of almost 22 years have two young adult children, Owen and Liza Baker. When not at work, Donna can be found enjoying watching her children play sports, spending time at the beach, cooking, serving her community and playing golf with her husband.
