Belinthia Berry, M.S.(Tampa) has dedicated her life to serving her community. With a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Florida A&M University and a master’s in organizational leadership from Springfield College, she also holds certifications in Media Sales, Contract Training, and leadership development. Belinthia’s career spans over 15 years in higher education and workforce training, during which she has empowered low-income residents by facilitating career opportunities and collaborating with public and private sectors in Hillsborough and Pinellas County. Currently serving as Dean of Workforce Development at St. Petersburg College, Belinthia leads initiatives that align education with local and national workforce needs. Her efforts have fostered meaningful partnerships across schools, businesses, and nonprofit organizations, driving economic and community development. Belinthia’s passion for advocacy extends beyond her professional role. She is a committed member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., National Coalition of 100 Black Women and other local nonprofits, where she has held various leadership roles. Despite facing personal challenges, including a double lung transplant, Belinthia’s resilience and dedication to uplifting others have remained unwavering. Her contributions and commitment exemplify the spirit of community service, making her a deserving recipient of the 2024 Florida Commission on the Status of Women Spirit of Community Award.
