Maria Wells was appointed to the Florida Commission of the Status of Women December 28, 2022 by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. She is the Broker/Owner of Lifestyle Realty Group, an independent real estate firm with offices in Jensen Beach, FL, and Lehigh Valley, PA. She has established herself as a professional by earning six designations within the real estate profession.

For Maria, supporting her profession and community is essential. She was the elected 2019 Regional Vice President for the National Association of Realtors (NAR), where she was responsible for four states and two territories, the elected 2017 President of the 185,000-member Florida Realtors and, she has served on many vital committees at the local, state, and national level for these organizations. In addition, she was the 2016 Chair of the National Insurance Committee for NAR where Maria made significant impacts by testifying in Congress on Fl. Insurance and continues to be an effective champion and voice for homeowners on this issue.

Maria had a previous state appointment from the State of Florida Insurance Commissioner from, 2009 – 2017, where she served on the Florida Health Insurance Advisory Board. In her community, she has served on many local charity boards and assisted in fundraisers as either chair, vice chair, or member. In 2011, she received the Women of Distinction Business/Professional of the year from Soroptimist International of Stuart.

In 2007 Maria attended the Sandford Graduate School of Business for Interpersonal Dynamics for High-Performance Executives. This program improves skills in communication to build consensus and move agendas forward at high levels within an organization.

Maria lives in Jensen Beach with her husband Rod, and they have a blended family of four.
