The Florida Commission on the Status of Women and our partners from across Florida are proud to present a forum dedicated to educating women about leadership and the legislative process. Attendees gain a better understanding of how ideas become laws and learn the tools needed to be leaders in their communities. This annual event is one of education and inspiration, providing a unique opportunity to observe the legislative process in action. Come to learn from experienced professionals, develop personal relationships, and be inspired to work with like-minded organizations to create a better state for the women and families of Florida. Important Information for Attendees

Thank you for your interest in the 2021 LEAD Summit. We expect nearly 150 women to be in attendance at this annual event, so plan to arrive early and have a great time networking and learning the legislative process. We are in Tallahassee to learn and network. This is a non-partisan educational event serving all women across Florida, so please be respectful of others’ viewpoints. Below are links to helpful information that will make your time in Tallahassee much more enjoyable, including information on parking, weather, and more. Business attire is appropriate. Please, no jeans or shorts. You will be doing a lot of walking in and around the Capitol Complex, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes. The event includes a reception on Wednesday and lunch on Thursday.

When you are entering government buildings, please take security seriously. All security checkpoints include a metal detector. Anything that would be considered a weapon will be confiscated.
