Anne Corcoran

Anne Corcoran was appointed to the Commission in 2020 by Attorney General Ashley Moody. She is Of Counsel with Nelson Mullins where she practices in the firm’s corporate division. Anne has more than 20 years of experience in both civil and criminal litigation and is a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, which recognizes attorneys who have received multi-million dollar settlements or verdicts. She was an assistant state attorney and has served on the Judicial Nominating Commission for both the First and Fifth circuits.

Anne earned her law degree with high honors from Florida State University College of Law and her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin in News and Public Affairs. During her time in law school, she was an intern at the Florida Supreme Court and in the Florida Legislature.

In addition to her professional work, she has been very active in charitable and community activities through her efforts founding a liberal arts charter school for which she provides pro bono legal and board services. For her volunteer work, she received the Champion Charter School Pioneer award from the Florida Consortium of Public Charter Schools and the CAMWS Award for Special Service. She is married to Commissioner of Education Richard Corcoran, and they have six children, Kate, Jack, Caroline, Luke, Major, and Evangeline.
